The Dream Of The Red Ships

This painting was influenced by a video I watched about argonauts - which are a shelled octopus. They glow with iridescent light and I thought a simple image of these creatures floating from top to bottom would make for a good design-cum-painting. However, these morphed into nautilus type animals with swirling waves mirroring their shells. And then Chinese junk like ships were added in a dreamlike scene.
